||Edward||Cullen|| {weather on a sunny day} ________________________________________________________________________
Raindrops were being hurtled in every which direction by the gushing wind that took a hold of the small town of Forks, Washington. The droplets of liquid splattered against the sleep, silver Volvo as it sped through the drenched streets; the car seemed to be going much faster than thought possible. With the mist hanging low, embracing the town, and the moisture falling from the sky, all you could see of the vehicle was a sliver blur, prancing amongst the shadowed roads. As the rain continued to descend onto the town below, humans began to wake from their slumber, awaking to another dreadfully mopey day. The bronze haired boy could hear the grumblings of the humans with in at least a few hundred yards, and it was irritating enough with the wind throwing dead tree branches in the way of his Volvo, but the careless thoughts of the humans just made it that much worse. Sometimes Edward just imagined what it would be like to go outside freely without hesitation, in the sunlight. Would the sun's heat maybe warm his dead body the slightest bit, or even lighten is heart from its cold abyss? Edward highly doubted those hopes. His eyes rolled to the ceiling of his car, traces imaginary patterns with his golden honey eyes. Besides the droning thoughts of the humans surrounding him in his car, Edward could distinctively hear his family members thoughts as well. He absently tried to avoid knowing just what exactly, for he had grown used to the complaining of how he never gave them privacy...privacy that was nearly impossible to give with thoughts that shouted like his family's. He had become accustomed to the rumble of thoughts that were pitched into his ears, the persons own thoughts become his as well; he had to deal with his ability.
Edward's pale white lips began moving, almost trembling, as he muttered to himself the tunes of an old song he knew. The faded memory of his mother and himself sitting and playing piano while his father was out for a case washed through his mind, freezing the other thoughts that had entered with permission. The notes he remembered began repeating themselves in his head, the near nonexistent reminder of his human itself over and over before his eyes. How he and his mother could play with such lithe, graceful movements he had never known, but he had accepted where he had begun with his piano playing; his mother had taught him at a very young age. As his mind wondered from the music he and his other had constructed together, he began pondering whether he should begin composing again, it was his past time after all. But he knew consciously that he wouldn't feel like it...life had somehow became a bore to him. Though he still played the notes in his mind, his eyes stayed the lifeless butterscotch that sparkled, but not with emotion. A hushed sigh pushed past his marble lips, his arched eyebrows pushing together with distaste. High school. Already receiving near thirty or so diplomas as proof of graduating high school, Edward felt he had already been taught all that he needed to know. He wasn't being stuck-up or anything, but it was nearly completely true. Humans could scarcely surprise him with new information about anything. Spending time closed in with teh scent of the luscious blood was enough to make any vampire mad-Jasper more than anyone else in the family-but being taught the same thing every year?
{time slows down; I wish you’d stay}
Slender fingers brushed through ginger hair, the contrast nearly breath taking. His eyes moved to the mirror, watching the expression of Jasper and Alice. Jasper had a hard time being so close to the humans, the proximity of it nearly made him loose control every day he had gone without hunting. He noticed the crimson tint to Jasper once topaz eyes, and his expression faltered jsut the slightest bit, anxiety shown through his eyes and facial expression. Though Edward soon composed himself, his gaze flickered towards Alice, the tone of her worry in her thoughts capturing his attention. He could see where she was coming from, Jasper was terribly insecure when it came to these sort of things; his blood lust was more apparent than the rest of his family. The children at school had labeled Jasper the number one 'freak' of the family, since he always seemed like he was in pain. They had no accusation behind teh accusation, if they knew the truth, 'freak' would turn into something much worse. Keeping the secret was one of the main priorities of living amongst humans...the main priority to be more accurate. His eyebrows pushed together, his expression turning to worry, a simulations of Alice's. With a sudden jerk of his hands, the silver Volvo turned into Forks High School's parking lot, immediately parking in his usual spot. In a slowed movement, Edward, stepped out of the car, waiting patiently for Alice and Jasper to step out as well. His butterscotch eyes scanned the cars around him, and the humans. He noticed again the hum of the babbling voices in his head, and a grimace tugged at his plump, pale lips. Leaning against the car casually, he folded his arms across his chest, watching the passerbys stare in awe. He noticed a rather old looking model truck screech into the parking lot, awkwardly pulling into the space a few spaces in front of his own car. Amusement tinged into his eyes as he watched the girl stumble out of the truck, and start walking stiffly towards the main office. She created a diversion from Edward, taking all the spotlight for herself, even without meaning so; plain relief washed through Edward, he disliked being stared at with lust filled eyes. New thoughts began entering his mind though, and several boys began appraising the girl that walked clumsily towards the office. Look at that piece of work, a black haired jock said as he jogged past the brown haired girl, his eyes running down her body in a swift movement. Then a Well hello there gorgeous, a certain Tyler Crowley said, watching the way the girl swung her hips in a awkward motion. Edward scoffed with disgust, not noticing anything special about the brown haired, klutz. "Seems we have a new student here at school," Edward motioned towards the girl with a nod of his head, glancing back at Alice and Jasper.

Isabella Swan, was slightly tired. She woken up a couple times during the night, having nightmares about the new school she would be attending in the morning. Normally, she would not be worried at all about this kind of thing. If they liked her, cool. If they didn't, so what? No one had really liked her in Phoenix. A part of her hoped that Forks might be different. But no one could really tell. Especially not Bella.
Though she got out of bed quietly, but already heard her father downstairs. She hoped that he wasn't attempting to make her breakfast, or she wouldn't be having a great start to the day. Bella dressed quickly and headed to the bathroom to comb her hair and brush her teeth. When she arrived downstairs, she found her father eating a bowl of cereal. She mentally sighed and grabbed herself one also. "I could have made you something." she said with a light shrug, but Charlie shook his head. "Nah, it's okay Bells. I've got to get going to the station anyway." he told her putting his bowl in the sink. Then he wished her a good day at school and kissed the top of her head before heading out the door.
She wasn't really used to an empty house, since her mom was always around. But she'd left Arizona because Bella wanted her mom to be happy. And with her out of the way, she finally could be. She finished her breakfast and grabbed her new bag before heading out the door herself. Bella loved her new truck from Billy and Jacob. It fit her perfect. So, it wasn't new. But she didn't like anything big and fancy like that. So she got it, set her bag in the passengers seat, and started off for Forks High.
When she arrived, she parked a big strangely in one of the spots, but for her, what else was new? She groaned and rested her head on the steering wheel while putting her keys in her pocket. Then taking a deep breath, she stumbled out of the red truck. Her door squeaked shut and she started to walk, slinging her bag over her shoulder as she went. Immediately, heads turned to look at her. She secretly wondered if she had some of her breakfast still on her face. Bella blushed a bright crimson color and sped up her walking.
Then out of the corner of her chocolate eyes, she said a figure leaning against a silver Volvo. Her head turned to look and her mouth fell open a little bit. As she was staring, she didn't watch were she was going. And for Bella, that was the last thing she'd want to do. So, lost in her awe, she tripped over the step to the sidewalk and lurched forward. The girl managed to keep on her feet, but her books, but her bag went sliding out in front of her. In an instant, a boy picked it up and handed it to her. "Thanks." she quickly replied, then kept walking, her cheeks hotter than ever.

Emmett stuffed his hands into his pockets and continued down the hallway. He had just come back from a little meeting with Carlisle telling him that He, Rose, Jasper, and Alice were going to be hunting that weekend. The weather was supposed to be exceptional for the human kind that weekend. Sunny and about 75 degrees. This would be a great chance for them to get some hunting in. He had told Edward that he was invited earlier that day. He had to make a trip to the Swan residence to do so but that wasn’t a problem. It was nice to take a ride in Rose’s red convertible every once in a while. This trip was to tell Carlisle that he was welcome to come with Esme if they wanted to. Carlisle didn’t have to make as many trips as the rest of the gang due to his great resistance to the thirst that always nagged at vampires.
Emmett had made this trip solo, and when he stepped out into the outside world and took a few steps out, hands still stuffed in his pocket. He looked at his jeep and smiled. 'Ol Faithful' would be an appropriate name for the vehicle. It wasn't as fast as Edward's Volvo but and not as flashy as Rose's convertible, but it would drive over, around or through anything Emmett asked it to. The Jeep was awesome but a nice black mustang wouldn't hurt anyone. Emmett stepped into the jeep with a grin painted across his face. He pulled his keys out of his pocket, and noticed a silhouette of a rose on one of the key chains. It was an old present from Rosalie herself, and it brought a smile to his face.
The key fit comfortable into the ignition and he turned it once and the jeep started to growl as he backed out of his parking spot. The jeep's speedometer climbed quickly to about 90 miles per hour as he raced down the casual small town roads. Emmett didn't bother with his seat belt anymore, knowing that it wouldn't be the belt that saved him, but his durable body. He turned the wheel , and the tires followed rotating the whole jeep onto another road. Emmett toyed with the radio, not paying much attention to the road. He switched through the stations and then finally found something he liked before turning into the school parking lot.
He quickly turned into a spot a couple of cars down from the Silver Volvo. He quickly recognized his brother's Edward and Jasper and his sister Alice. He opened the car and grabbed a black backpack and winter hat from the back seat. He swung the pack over his right shoulder and slid the hat on his head. It had a small brim placed in the fold that was a little off center. It was black and matched Emmett's black, button up, long sleeve shirt with simple jeans. His sleeved were pulled up to his elbows. He made his way to his siblings and gave a nod to edward, and Jasper while giving Alice a light hug. He quickly looked over to see an unfamiliar face. "Who's that?" He quickly asked motioning toward the brunette.

Rosalie was having a very boring week. The night before, she had nothing to do but watch the boys goof around while playing video games. She was pretty excited that they're gonna be hunting that weekend. Although she never really admits it, she actually enjoys hunting with the whole family. They’ve been feeding more often than necessary to completely satiate their thirst. Rosalie doesn’t really need it since she has never tasted human blood because she doesn’t like the idea of having any part of those disgusting humans in her, and that helps in controlling her thirst. Mostly the reason is to take precautions since Jasper was still having trouble with the diet. If she didn’t like hunting, she would’ve started another argument with the family about Jasper. She certainly detests being forced to do anything she didn’t want to do.
Rose was still in her and Emmett’s room putting on her heels. It had only taken her less than five minutes to be completely dressed. She heard an engine start and a car leave the driveway. She knew instantly that it was Edward’s Volvo because Emmett’s jeep made more noise than that. Jasper and Alice was with Edward while Emmett decided to go to school by himself. Rose wanted to go with him but later figured she could just ride alone. Besides, it had been a while since she last drove her red convertible to school and it’s about time to show it off. Who cares if it’s conspicuous?
She smiled to herself as she went outside and into her car. Emmett had already left just a few moments after Edward. She sat gracefully on the driver’s seat and started the engine, then pulled out of the driveway. She couldn’t help but let another smile appeared on her face as people stared at her and at her car in awe. She arrived at the school’s parking lot and parked her car just beside Emmet’s jeep. She got out and walked like a model toward Emmet and the others. She overheard Edward saying something about a new student. She glanced at the girl who seemed clumsy and average-looking. “Who cares?” she said in reply to Emmett’s question.
