Thoughts are things that can destroy... A copper skinned girl walked along the beach that would be counted as her pack's territory. Her brown gaze drifted out to the water as she slowed down into a pause. It was a nice day out, dun shining brightly reflecting against the sparkling depths of the water. The sun's rays seemed palpable as they dug into her skin trying to warm her up. Though the fact stood; she was warmer than the sun could ever make a human...it was warm enough that if she ever wen to a real hospital, they would think she was dying. No, she was not a regular human, in fact she was not even normal for the average Quileute female. Leah Clearwater was a werewolf as her tribe would say and in fact was the only female werewolf in the current pack and as far as the stories are told, the only one within their tribes history. What is wrong with me? To be the only female cursed to live this way, hearing the thoughts of the others when turned into the other form...to hear his thoughts everywhere we went... She clenched her hands into fists and bit her lip, forcing herself to stay calm. Out here, on the first beach, not the best place yo lose her anger and go turning into a giant hairy wolf that would freak out the normal citizens who had no clue about the dangers that stood just on the edge of their world. Once Leah had been that clueless, only listening to the very few stories her father would tell her but since she realized her ability, everything had become clear. Vampires and werewolves lived side-by-side in this world along with humans, even though the three interacted with each other often, even though the humans were unaware of the truth. Why couldn't they know the truth? Not that she cared much about them, but why couldn't they know the dangers that stood beside them so they didn't go blaming others for killings that were the blood-suckers fault?
"I'll never understand what Jacob sees in the friend of the blood-suckers. She likes them so she does not belong anywhere near our minds. He should at least tune her out of his thoughts so I can't hear them!" Even though she didn't look around to see if anyone would hear her before saying what she had, she didn't really care. A whole patrol of people from Forks could be here and she could care less. Though, then again, she shouldn't be the one talking about that kind of stuff. She knew about how much she bothered the others, especially Sam, with her thoughts about what he had done to Emily just to hurt him in particular. He broke her heart so many years ago and she could never forgave him about that. But now, being able to hear his everything thought about his little imprinted female...it just makes her worse to be around then usual. No one wanted her in the pack, she knew that but she could really care less. As long as her little brother was a werewolf, she would be one too to keep him out of danger...for now. He was just too young to do some of the things the others would do, such as fighting a large coven of vampires like the Cullens. Sure their pack was large now, probably large enough to defeat the Cullens for good, they never could until they could prove the neighboring blood-suckers were go pass the treaty...
After a few moments, Leah took a few deep breaths and looked around. As she found a trunk sitting half-buried in the sand, she walked slowly over to it and sat down. When her gaze drifted down to the bottom of her shredding jeans, she sighed and leaned back a bit so her eyes were up to the sky. What it would be like, to fly high in the skies, feeling that sort of feeling of freedom..., her thoughts trailed off as she realized something. She did feel that feeling. When she decided to transform into her wolf self and run through the trees faster than any human would be able to understand, that was most likely the same feeling a bird felt as it soared high in the sky and through the white puffy clouds. Leaning forward again, she looked around and realized that other people were starting to appear on the beach. She placed her hands on her knees and looked towards the cliffs were she could imagine some of he guys going cliff diving. No, they weren't the cliffs lower down that the normal guys would use to do such a sport, but rather those higher up that if a human ever chose to jump, would usually mean death for them. She smirked to herself as she wondered if she should go right now, but as the wind sped up, tossing her long black hair around her face, she decided against it. Usually when Leah went to the beach she would put her hair back to avoid her hair making her lose control on her anger, but she wanted it down now...not really caring about what happened. After a moment she took her eyes away from the cliffs and adjusted her arms, moving her elbows down onto her knees and folding her hands together, then looking towards a group of kids nearby to watch them.
...if they are left to wander too long.
